What are the advantages of dental bridges?

Restore Your Bite and Smile

Dental bridges improve your ability to chew and bring back your beautiful smile.

Maintain Your Face Shape

Missing teeth alter the shape of your face. Dental bridges can help retain its shape.

Prevent Teeth from Shifting

Dental bridges keep the teeth adjacent to your missing tooth in place.

How much do dental bridges cost?

The price of a dental bridge procedure depends on a number of factors. Aside from your insurance coverage, the price of a dental bridge also depends on the following:

  • The materials used for the bridge
  • Number of teeth that need to be replaced
  • Where the bridge is being placed
  • The complexity of placing the bridge

If you want to get a better idea of how much your dental bridge will cost, you can call our office to book a free consultation.

What to expect during the procedure

Getting a dental bridge usually takes 2 visits to your dentist office. During the first visit, the abutment teeth are prepared. The preparation involves reshaping these teeth by removing a portion of the enamel to allow room for a crown to be placed over them. Next, impressions of your teeth will be made to send off to a dental lab. The dental lab technician will use this impression to create your permanent bridge which usually takes a few days. In the meantime, your dentist will make a temporary bridge to protect your exposed teeth and gums while the bridge is being made. During your second visit, your dentist will remove the temporary bridge and the new bridge will be checked and adjusted to make sure it fits perfectly. In some cases, your dentist may use temporary cement to allow you to get accustomed to your new bridge for a few weeks. You’ll return to the office for a third appointment and your dentist will talk to you about the fit, make adjustments if needed, and then permanently cement the bridge in place.
